Milk thistle is used to care for the liver – it supports their function. It protects liver tissue by contributing to its detoxification and regeneration potential. It helps with digestion and cleansing of the body, it has a positive effect on the condition of the heart. Dandelion root acts synergistically with these effects and enhances them.
Ideal composition
For the production of the mixture we use milk thistle extract with a concentration of 80% silymarin, which is the optimal concentration for liver problems (in our experience), 30% Reishi mushroom extract and dandelion root extract, which complements the mixture with its effects.
All the mushroom raw material that we use for the production of our mushroom products is tested in the German independent laboratory Agrolab for more than 500 types of known heavy metals, pesticides and human-dangerous microorganisms before processing.
Milk thistle has excellent antioxidant and hepatoprotective effects. The main active substance, silymarin, supports the normal functioning of the liver, its detoxification / cleansing and regeneration. It helps in digestion and cleansing the body, thus contributing to the natural defenses. It has a positive effect on heart function and blood sugar levels.
Milk thistle (Silybum marianum), a charming plant that grows to a height of two meters, is actually just a thistle. The folk name of this plant is Christ’s crown or Marian thistle. Already in the past and the beginning of medicine, its extract was used for almost all problems associated with the abdominal cavity and became a standard part of liqueurs and tinctures for the treatment of everything related to the liver.
The active ingredient in milk thistle is flavonolignan Silymarin – a mixture of silybin, silydionine and silicristin. The highest concentration of silymarin is in the seeds, lower in the leaves or root. Silymarin is very poorly released by leaching in water, so it is better to use milk thistle in the form of an extract.
